This morning Brian and I tried to relocate the Clapper Rails at Dump Marsh without success. Maybe seeing them is related to the tides, or just luck. We did find a Yellow-headed Blackbird mixed with a flock Brown-headed Cowbirds on the wires next to the wastewater plant. At the intersection of SW 248 St. and 97 Ave. take the dirt road on the south side of the canal to the gate at the wastewater plant and look at the wires immediately overhead. The Yellow-headed Blackbird was on the third wire down, 7th bird from the right. It's either a 1st winter male or adult female.
