I was hoping to see one on one of my two trips to Ecuador, but the best I saw was a black and chestnut eagle soaring(I have the identifiable blurry pictures to prove it.) Did you see this baby perched or soaring? was it anywhere near the ivorybill nest? Maybe it was a caracara, or maybe we should organize a field trip...I also understand it is a relatively rare bird in its usual habitat, so I cannot imagine it's an escapee from private hands here, unless it's an illegal immigrant...
