Thanks for posting that useful tool and a belated Happy Thanksgiving from here in England. I'm sure many of you out there will already be aware of the ebirds website but for those who don't, it's worth a look at http://ebird.org/content/ebird/.
On my not-frequent-enough visits to the States I try to do some birding and also try to log my sightings on ebird. Whilst it might not be in the spirit of gathering regular observations at specific sites it does add records to the general melting pot and does allow you to organise lists by various means including by State and by County.
Roll on the end of December when I might be able to add a few more lists for Florida, albeit not in the Miami area this time (unfortunately).
