Red eyed Vireos are spotted at eco pond from late spring through early fall. Most people don't see them cause, as you experienced, the mosquitos are just too much to handle! There are also Black whiskered vireos, white eyed vireos and on occasion solitary and yellow throated in the summer time.

What are the vireos that live in Eco Pond in late may. I heard that they could be red-eyed vireos. I'm pretty sure what i saw was one of those 3 years ago, but the mosquitos drove me away. This was late spring, so the summer birds should be there.

: Also, a friend saw a thrush fly across the mangrove canal in back of the marina in Flamingo in early January. Do you know it it? She did'nt describe it well.

: I have not seen the duck again. I'm kind of worried about it.
