Life is good............Can you say Cuban Emerald or Bahama Woodstar?
The TAS gang is on Grand Bahama right now. Would be quaffing celebratory
Kalik's if I was with them
Wearing my "Life is good " cap Jeff Weber and myself were celebrating six royal terns which were following the the Discovery Cruise Boat with a couple Kalik's. Yes, it was only 10:30 am but we were up since 4:30 am and we were thirsty!
This was only the beginning of what I knew was going to be a very enjoyable TAS Bahamas trip. My first Carribean birding adventure was quite eventful with 3 lifers the first afternoon, 5 on Saturday and 4 on Sunday for a total of 12 Lifers. The Kaliks kept coming!
Thanks to Larry for his sharp eyes, keen ears, and relentless drive to find all the birds and make sure that all on the trip were able to get a good views. We had some great birds and a couple probable records which you can read about in Larry;'s account. He worked hard and he too toasted the end of the trip with a couple Kaliks.
Paul, you were in our thoughts at the end of each day when we finally came upon that Bahamian watering hole and tasted the cool refreshing elixer that signafies that Life is good..... with a Kalik in hand and 12 lifers.
Joe
