This is an idea that might catch on. Since I am around the house with cooking & Thanksgiving, I get a little time to go somewhere and do birding. Even though I don't have time to go out, I have time to bird around the property. I assume most everyone else might be in the same situation. I am compiling a list of birds I see around the house through out the day. I will post them tonight. If everyone did the same, it might create a worthy database of what is seen where at the same time. Since our members live in diverse habitats like rural, suburbia, townhomes and even city areas, they could compile what they see throughout the day. You could observe and list birds in your trees, bushes, bird feeders, or even your parking lot or balcony if you live in a more metropolitan area. If you list your birds & where you live, it might create a rough database map of what is where on Thanksgiving Day. The best part is we all can contribute without going anywhere! I've seen some interesting birds so far. I hope if you get this today, you too, can make a count. I'm sure we all will get to see the "Turkey in the Oven" ! Happy Thanksgiving
