Hi everyone,
This morning after dropping off Mariel I birded the usual spot and even though it was slow I was pleasantly surprised to see a Eastern Phoebe hanging out at my spot. This is the first time I have seen a Phoebe there in 3 years I have been birding this location. After I left on my way home I decided to bird around our home for a little while since it was slow at my morning spot. I had good luck today finding a nice variety of birds at the lake on Commerce Way where Melato and I have reported some cool findings in the past including Melato's Bald Eagle and the Northern Harrier I saw there on the dead tree which seems to be a magnet for Birds of Prey. Today there was a A. Kestrel perched on the tree as I drove by so I decided to go park close to the lake and check it out. As soon as I scanned the lake I noticed a small group of ducks that I have not seen there in the past, there was a group of six Ruddy Duck floating in the middle of the lake. Many other birds were seen at the lake today. Here is what I saw:

Doral-
Eastern Phoebe
N. Cardinal
Catbird
Blue Jay
Palm Warbler
Blue-gray Gnatcatcher
Boat-tailed Grackle
Red-winged Blackbird
Fish Crow
Osprey
T. Vulture
Common Moorhen
Monk Parakeet (flying over the lake)
E. Starling

Miami Lakes (Commerce Way Lake)-
Ruddy Duck
A. Coot
Mallard
Pied-billed Grebe
Muscovy
Anhinga
Double-crested Cormorant
Osprey
A. Kestrel
Loggerhead Shrike
T. Vulture
Laughing Gull
Great Egret
Cattle Egret
Snowy Egret
Boat-tailed Grackle
Common Grackle
Blue Jay
Blue-gray Gnatcatcher
Palm Warbler
White Ibis
Monk Parakeet
E. Starling

Nature is Awesome
