Alex, Get a large fishing net, some old towels or a blanket, and a good sized box. Lure the duck close to the shore with food that floats (either Publix brand dog food or bread). Once you have netted the duck, bring the net with duck to the shore and place the blanket over both. Next, of course, slide the good sized box under your assortment (net, duck, blanket) and head to the Pelican Harbor Bird Hospital on 79th Street Causeway. Good luck in this worthy endeavor! The duck cannot survive with its legs in ribbons.
