"Lost as hell" is incorrect.
Black-chinned and Rufous Hummingbirds are _annual_ winter residents to Florida (probably a few hundred individuals of each), and the Calliope and Buff-bellied are becoming annual. Banding records prove that several of these birds winter in the same yard for several years. Several other hummingbirds are irregular; there is one record from Florida (Tallahassee) of an Anna's.
And we're overdue for a Green Violetear ...
