I stopped by to show the Eurasian Wigeon and the other birds
to my eight year-old daughter late this afternoon. The Wigeon was in the same place along with most of the other birds seen there recently. I didn't see the Ruddy Ducks from the other day, but there were 2 Stilt Sandpipers which are the first I see here since September. My duaghter liked the ducks,
but she was most impressed by the adult Bald Eagle standing towards the northwest corner of the wetlands. Some of the most interesting species include:

Eurasian Wigeon
American Wigeons
Northern Pintails
Northern Shovelers
Blue-winged Teals
Green-winged Teals
American Avocets
Greater Yellowlegs
Long-billed Dowitchers
Dunlins
Pectoral Sandpiper (3, and I made sure they weren't Sharp-tailed)
Stilt Sandpipers
Bald Eagle
Northern Harrier
Merlin

I was in between errands, so being pressed for time I couln't check out the other areas nearby. I especially would have liked to check out the huge flock of gulls I could see to the south of me near the landfill. Franklin's Gulls are here, and there's always the potential for something really special.
