I saw this duck again this morning - great light for getting a good pic, but of course she disappeared while I was moving into position to get a close-up. Could not relocate, but I got a great view through my binocs, and asked a few other birders to verify - the bill IS typical Shoveler, though the coloring is all wrong. I'll try to get a pic sometime.
