This afternoon we headed out to Barnes and found some birds but the winds were high making a little hard finding birds. We did manage to see a variety of birds. The first bird that we spotted was an White-Crowned Pigeon in the tropical hardwood hammock. We then proceeded to bird the rest of the park. As we walked into the Nature Trail we were treated to an aerial flyby from 2 Ruby-throated Hummingbirds. As we were on our way back to the Nature Center on the trail by the butterfly garden we heard Blue Jay alerting along with some Cardinal so we further investigated the area and found a few feet away both a Cooper's Hawk and Osprey perched just minutes before a Merlin flew over. Here is what we saw...

Ruby-throated Hummingbird
White-crowned Pigeon
Brown Thrasher
Northern Cardinal
Blue-gray Gnatcatcher
Black-throated Blue Warbler
American Redstart
Palm Warbler
Ovenbird
Northern Parula
Common Yellowthroat
Scarlet Tanager
Belted Kingfisher
White Ibis 100+
Fish Crow
Osprey
Common Moorhen
Anhinga
American Coot
Cooper's Hawk
Merlin
Blue Jay
Northern Mockingbird
Muscovy Duck

We are going to get some rest now to hopefully add the Eurasian Wigeon to our life list tomorrow before work.
Good birding to all.

Nature is Awesome!
Angel & Mariel
