The old Parrot Jungle site is now a City of Pinecrest/Miami/Dade County Park. It is open,
but there is an entry fee.
We have Herring Gulls here in the winter
and Greater Black-backed Gulls are regular
on the spoil islands in Biscayne Bay at low tide.
Lesser Black-backed gulls are also around.

Whats the news I'm hearing about Parrot Jungle?

: Also, many gulls over my husband's work today, heading East at around 5:00. There were laughers and ring-billeds, and some other larger gulls. I'm not sure what kind of gull, but their larger and not as common. They obviously spend time inland, and roost near the ocean. Anyone know what it is? Cheers, Carol.
