I'm thankful for Photoshop! It can make my poor photos look good and good photos look great. I don't really add anything to the photos, but I can and do use Photoshop to bring out color and detail that is already there but may be washed out.

I spent quite a while working of the photos from Ft. Myers.

I'm trying to spend more time watching birds rather than a lot of time taking photos. The photos are great to have, but I think it is far better to take the time to observe details in behavior and appearance visually. I plan to do more of that next year. I also want to work on learning and remembering bird calls.

Knowing my subjects habits will help me to take better photos. Both John Boyd and Larry Manfredi take excellent photos but they also know their subjects very well.

Larry doesn't carry a camera often. But when he sees something he wants to photograph he goes to his vehicle to get his camera, then goes back to the subject and takes great care in setting up a good shot. He usually comes home with several outstanding photos.

I tend to worry that I will miss the photo opportunity and often rush my shots only to get a good one if the subject cooperates.

Thanks for the complement and I hope you will continue to enjoy the photos.
