Sorry the picture is really bad - the light and weather were bad and the bird was very far away! A long-necked Grebe with what appeared to be a black cap was swimming in the furthest reach of the NE corner of Green Cay on Saturday 10/20. Two of us got pretty excited looking at one angle, but when the bird turned it looked a bit more like just another Pied-billed.
Anywho - those out at Green Cay, BOLO - here's hoping we get a return visit from the Eared Grebe of last Fall!
