While doing a site visit to the hammocks in the area of the C-111E for work, I heard then briefly saw a Brown-crested Flycatcher. Park on the east side of the canal and walk down to where the canal bends toward the southwest (right). There are some yellow markers sticking out of the ground at this bend. The bird was calling about 100 feet past the markers. Some other birds seen in this area and areas surrounding the hammmocks:

Limpkin (2)
Eastern Phoebe (FOTS. Is this better Vince?)
House Wren (FOTS)
Chuck-will's Widow (perched 3 feet off the ground and 15 feet away. Photo op)
Painted Bunting
Tennessee Warbler
N. Parula
Magnolia Warbler
Cape May Warbler
Black-and-White
Black-throated Blue
Palm Warbler
Yellow-throated Warbler
Ovenbird
Am. Redstart
Common Yellowthroat
The usual raptors were out in force, incluing an adult Bald Eagle.
