Here's a photo of the orange Scarlet Tanager (?) seen Sunday at Kendall Indian Hammocks. Bill shape, head shape, and wing color suggest this is not a Summer Tanager. There is also a suggestion of the bill "tooth" typical of Scarlet, but the photo lacks enough detail to be sure of it.
The Sept/Oct Birding article on unusual coloration (melanism, leucism, etc) mentions that Scarlet Tanagers are sometimes orange, and this appears to be such a bird.
