I think you mean the Fab Four (Golden-winged, Blue-winged, Cerulean, Bay-breasted). The reason for these is that they were the ones that Trey and I still needed for the year at that time. Today Trey got 2/4, which I got to see yesterday: Blue-winged and Bay-breasted. The other two were Cerulean (seen by Trey about a week ago) and Golden-winged, which I don't know if it's been seen in Dade this fall. But, we had an unexpected guest appearance by the Townsend's, so it makes up for 2 out of the four. I'm happy with the warblers we've seen for this year, especially when you think back to that invasion of Connecticut's in spring.
I think many folks got to see most of these the last two days, so I's sure I'm not the only one who's a happy camper right now. Life birds, state birds, county birds, year birds, and most importantly, beer birds! If I can steal one from Paul: Yes, life if good.
However, there's still the chance that a MacGillivray's or Black-throated Gray will show up somewhere, so it can get even better! Welcome to Warbler Valhalla III. Good birding to all.
