Saturday Oct 6,approximately 10:30 am, I flushed a Burrowing Owl on the Osprey Trail, about half-way between the Biscayne Nature Center and the trail head to the boardwalk overlook. It seemed to be alone and was perching in low shrubs and small trees along the trail. The naturalists at the Nature Center had had no prior reports of same.
