I started out this morning for Castellow Hammock to get some cuttings of the Bahama Swamp-bush (Pavonia bahamaensis, a good butterfly bush & Hummingbird attractor, I was told) and en route, I saw my first Kesterel (Sparrow Hawk) of the season. It was on a power line out in the ag. area. Does this mean the predators are just behind all the warblers we've seen? By the way, I didn't see too much at the hammock, other than a Prairie and female Redstart. I heard so hummers, though, but didn't see any.
