Hi everyone,

This morning I had planned on taking my wife to work and then run to Barnes, unfortunately our car was not as enthusiastic as I was this morning. So I settled for birding the Gumbo Limbo and Oak at the end of her jobs parking lot. There is also a lake at the end of the lot, I was surprised to see as much activity as I did. Last year during migration the trees produced Blackpolls and lots of Redstarts. Last week I spotted my FOS C. Yellowthroat at this location, it has been picking up. I try to bird the end of the lot everyday when I drop Mariel off at work, in hopes of something interesting to keep my mind on before heading to work myself.
This morning I saw the following:

2 B/W Warbler (M/F)
2 American Redstart (Female)
5 B/G Gnatcatcher
3 Ovenbird
1 C. Yellowthroat (female)
6 R/W Blackbird (M/F)
8 Blue Jay
4 Common Grackle
4 Boat-tailed Grackle
2 E. Starling
1 DC Cormorant
3 Muscovy Duck
1 Osprey

I birded for about a half an hour before I had to get going.
We will be out birding today in the afternoon after work, hopefully we have a great day.

Hope to see Birders out there today!

Nature is Awesome
Angel & Mariel
