Spring is here, and you can tell by the lack of gnatcatchers and robins. I made anote of winter birds that are still here. Heres what I found:
Prairie Warbler
Northern Parula
Black and White Warbler
Myrtle Warbler
Western Parula
Turkey Vulture
Ring-billed Gull
American Kestrel
Cedar Waxwing
Those Missing:
Gnatcather
Robin
I recently discovered a pair of Yellow-chevroned Parakeets in Miami Shores. This is the second occasion I have seen them.
Also, a friend from up North said she saw a species of Thrush in Flamingo in Early January. She wants to know what it was. It was behind the Boat Marina and flew across the canal into the mangroves.
