I birded the Krome RR tracks area this morning. About 20 Blue Grosbeaks were present (roughly 10 males and 10 females). Other birds of note included 1 immature male Indigo Bunting, 3 green Painted Buntings, and 1 Grasshopper Sparrow. No Dickcissels were seen, and none were unambiguously heard (although there were some suspicious calls). Normal winter birds there included Catbird, Myrtle and Palm Warblers, and Common Yellowthroat. Normal residents included Ground Dove and E. Meadowlark.
