As I went out early this morning, I could hear warblers and Bobolinks flying over, I knew that it would be a good day to bird. I had a limited amount of time and birded a little over two hours. I had a pretty good number of species. Bobolink numbers in the last week have gone from truck loads down to buckets full, today they were back to the truck load level. I had Swainson's Thrush, Northern Orioles, Eastern and Gray Kingbirds, those pesky "Alder Flycatchers", a Peregrine dive bombing American Crows for the fun of it. I also saw a Merlin cruise through looking for breakfast and a few Northern Harriers. The weather was cloudy with rain approaching, I saw and heard decent numbers of
warblers flying high over head. It was not a bad, quick morning of birding with the following warblers seen:

Prothonotary Warbler
Tennessee Warbler
Northern Parula
Cape May Warbler
Black-and-white Warbler
Black-throated Blue Warbler
Yellow-throated Warbler
Prairie Warbler
Pine Warbler
Palm Warbler
Hooded Warbler
Worm-eating Warbler
Ovenbird
Northern Waterthrush
Common Yellowthroat
Yellow-breasted Chat
American Redstart

I could have found a few more warbler species with more time, the wet weather down here may bring more birds. The mosquito level has been very low this season, in the last few days it has gone way up. The levels along the road going to Long Pine Key were pretty high making birding harder. The mosquito level at Lucky Hammock and the Annex was lower but still annoying as I try not to use repellent.
