Over thirty birders joined us at Matheson Sunday morning. Highlights of the walk was a perched white-crowned pigeon, numerous red-eyed vireos (the default bird of the day), a wonderful look at a soaring white phased short-tailed hawk that the full group enjoyed and among a mixed flock of warblers a BLUE-WINGED WARBLER. A total of 10 warblers were seen. It appears that Toe attempted to relocate this bird without success. The group of old & young and new & veteran birders enjoyed the beautiful morning and nice breeze.
