I hav'nt seena gnatcatcher in a while. My redstarts have left, and martins and a lone common nighthawk are back. There are still so much winter birds i want to see here before they all leave: bronzed cowbirds, many ducks, warblers, chuck-wills widow, alot of west coast shorebirds, blue-headed vireo, flamingos, american bittern, many sparrows and about 50 oterh birds. Since TAS, I have been alot better at birding and knowing where to find these birds, and I wish I knew about it sooner. However, a couple Summer birds will come back for me to see:
cuban golden warbler, mangrove cuckoo, b.w. vireo, and alot of palagics. When spring roles around, I might be able to convince my parents to a ferry trip out to the dry tortugas. I especcially want a bobolink since I could never find them when I visit New York and Pennsylvania every Summer.
