A pissed off Andy Bankert just called from Snake Bight Trail. I have been keeping him entertained with my wit and humor on his trek out and he has been keeping me entertained because he is miserable. He reports alot of mosquitos, and almost as many Northern Waterthrushes. Swainson's Thrush,Northern Parula, BLue Grosbeak, Blue-gray Gnatcatcher, Black and White Warbler and Chuck-will's Widow were all seen on the trail. He then became quite elated at finding 4 Flamingo's at the end (his 345th year bird) though he couldn't say for sure they weren't Chilean or Lesser. Instructions for seeing Flamingos : Park at Snake Bight Trail, put on lots of clothes or bugspray and walk out to the end. Once out at boardwalk walk out 1/4 of the way until you see a mangrove groing right next to the boardwalk on left. Stand up on Boardwalk and scan out to east for best chance of seeing Flamingos. Even though he saw the Flamingo he's still whining worse than "The Whiner". What an ungrateful brat Andy is.
