Man it looks like Miami is the place to have been this week. I have been unable to bird this week, or the past two weeks for that matter. However, last night a couple friends and I went star gazing out in a dark field near my residence hall. Along with a few comets and many beautiful stars, I pointed out that there were large numbers of birds moving through. Swainson's Thrushes were abundant, with perhaps 150 heard in about forty-five minutes. Veeries were also heard. Only a few warblers were heard.

Hopefully I'll be able to get myself out of bed this weekend to do some birding.
