One word describes Baggs this afternoon...dead. In about half an hour (after the rain) I saw 7 Eastern Kingbirds, 1 Redstart, half a dozen Mourning Doves, 1 white-crowned Pigeon, 1 white ibis, two ring-billed gulls and a great egret. (Heard a cardinal). It was eerie how birdless the place was. Oh, the vagaries of migration.
