Chestnut-sided Warbler at Cape Fl 9-16-07

Thanks to everyone for being so friendly at the TAS walk today. We had a nice walk this morning even though we had to wade through the mosquitoes while we birded. We found some cool birds especially towards the last leg of the walk both the Chestnut-sided and the Prothonotary Warblers were found in the last 20 min. of the walk.

In the late afternoon we made a quick stop at AD Barnes and were not disappointed we both made a lifer today. I searched for a the Wilson's yesterday for the NAMC but with no luck. All that turned around today when we found on at Barnes.

We saw:

Wilson's Warbler
Black-throated Blue Warbler
Northern Parula
Prairie Warbler
Great Crested Flycatcher
Belted Kingfisher (heard)
Cooper's Hawk (heard)
Blue-gray Gnatcatcher
Cardinal
Red-eyed Vireo
Mockingbird
Blue Jay
Osprey (exiting the park perched across the street from the park entrance)

Thanks again to everyone.

Nature is Awesome
Angel & Mariel
