Hoping to get our year Chestnut-sided, Trey and I headed to the C-111E around 5:00 this afternoon. The C-111E is the first canal you encounter after passing Benito Juarez Park on your way to ENP (just past the Buff-breasted/Baird's fields). There is a large fig tree just past the gate on the east side of the canal. The Chestnut-sided and two Tennessee Warblers were in the fig tree. The Kentucky was low in the shrubs just past the fig tree. I pished and he came up on a snag and called a couple times. We later relocated it from the field side (east side) and it called again. We also saw two Baltimore and one Orchard Orioles, and a Summer Tanager.

We only had 3 warbler species! How much slower can it get? But, I'll take 3 good ones over 10 average ones any day.
