: Me, my father and about 10other birders took a small field trip to Charles Deering Estate today. A couple of good birds, but I left early with my dad so I may have missed some other birds seen by the rest of the group, or seen other birds the others didnt see. : Seen: : Northern Parula : Ovenbird : Yellow-rumped Warbler : Palm Warbler : Purple Martin : Tree Swallow : White Ibis : Northern Cardinal : Yellow-crowned Night Heron : Great Blue Heron : Tricolored Heron : Turkey Vulture : Black Vulture : European Starling : Red-breasted Merganser : Pied-billed Grebe : Ring-billed Gull : Brown Pelican : Double-creasted Cormorant : Red-bellied Woodpecker : Gray Catbird : Northern Mockingbird : Mourning Dove : White-crowned Pigeon : White-winged Parakeet : Red-winged Blackbird : Heard: : Northern Flicker : Great-creasted Flycather : Ruby-throated Hummingbird : Blue Jay : There nay have been more I forgot to mention. On the drive over there I spotted some Red-masked Parakeets and Common Myna.
