Trey, Paul "Life is Good", and John Kellam set out wit me today in search of Albatrosses, Skuas, and Tropicbirds. We got none, but we did get a few other birds. We arrived at Fowey Rocks just after 8:00 and found only 1 Brown Booby. We later saw a few others. We found a few birds in the 400-500 ft. depth range, but continued to deeper water. There was nothing out there so we returned to the same depth and quickly got a nice flock of phalaropes, a cory's, a Pom Jaeger, and some terns. We returned at 12:00, after a somewhat slow but very enjoyable day. The list:
Brown Booby (5)
Cory's Shearwater (1)
Pomarine Jaeger (1)
Red-necked Phalarope (20+)
Bridled Tern (5)
Sooty Tern (1)
Common Tern (5)
Black Tern (3)
Sandwich Tern (2)
Royal Tern (many)
Magnificent Frigatebird (many)
