One hour of speed birding at Barnes produced a beautiful male Wilson's Warbler in the ficus area between the buildings as you enter the nature center. This is the area where there is a swing and a water fountain. Other notable birds:
Red-eyed Vireo (a lot)
Blue-gray Gnatcatcher (several)
Black-and-white Warbler (1)
American Redstart (2)
Northern Parula (2)
Ovenbird (1)
Prairie Warbler (2)
The Whiner (0, thank goodness)
I'm back, bring on migration!
Cheers,
RJ of the UHBM
