I stopped late this afternoon and found the road and the western side birdier than it has been of late. I got to see a Norhern and Louisiana Waterthrush side-by-side, which I think is the first time I've seen this. There were many Northern Waterthrushes along the length of the road. Also interesting was a Yellow Warbler, Parula, and Redstarts that were coming down to the same pond along with the Waterthrushes. Below is the afternoon's list:

Parula
Yellow Warbler
Black-throated Blue Warbler
Prairie Warbler
Yellow Throated Warbler
Worm-eating Warbler
Black-and-White Warbler
Redstart
Ovenbird
Northern Waterthrush
Louisiana Waterthrush
Common Yellowthroat

Also had Eastern Wood Pewee, Great-crested Flycatcher, Red-eyed Vireo, Ruby-throated Hummingbird, Painted Bunting, and Blue Grosbeak. Twelve warbler species in a little over an hour is not bad, so whay all the whining? Oh, there was no Canada, Golden-winged, or Cerulean. AHHHH.
