This afternoon at 5:40 I observed a Glaucous Gull on Crandon Beach flats. It was with many Herring Gulls, a Great Black-backed Gull and Laughing Gulls. It seems to be in the same plumage as the gull being seen in Pompano. It appears a bit larger and stockier than the Herring Gulls and has a very large pink bill with black tip. The legs are pale pink/flesh. It was seen at low tide. There is faint barring on the scapulars and under the tail.
