We really enjoyed the TAS walk this morning at AD Barnes.
It was a pleasure to meet everyone and be able to finally put faces with names. We were suppose to meet Dan at Cutler Wetlands but in transit he informed us that the weather was turning sour that way. So instead we headed towards home in search of the Bronzed Cowbirds that Paul gave us the tip on the area to find them near home. Must be my birthday bird luck today because sure enough we found a flock of about 30 Bronzed Cowbird foraging on the ground. Second lifer of the day for both of us. Thanks Paul! The first was the Chuck-will's-widow on the morning walk.

Thank you to everyone today on the walk for being so friendly.

Looking forward to next week Sunday walk at Cape Florida.

Today in the Miami Lakes area we saw the following in about an hour:

30+ Bronzed Cowbird (lifer)
2 Spot-breasted Oriole
1 Burrowing Owl
20+ European Starling
5 Blue Jay
4 House Sparrow
2 Red-bellied Woodpecker
15 Barn Swallow
1 Killdeer
2 Gray Kingbird
4 Mockingbird
7 White Ibis
1 Green Heron
5 Monk Parakeet
20 Boat-tailed Grackle
3 Loggerhead Shrike
4 Common Moorhen (1 Adult with 3 babies)

Good Birding to all.
Nature is Awesome!
