Brynne and I took a trip down to Key West this weekend and turned up a few good birds. On our way south Saturday we watched 3 juv MISSISSIPPI KITES soar over US 1 on Summerland Key together. That's only the second time I've seen MIKI in the Keys.
Then this morning at Indigenous Park in Key West we had CHESTNUT-SIDED WARBLER, CANADA WARBLER, AND MOURNING WARBLER. I see a few CSWA's every fall, but this is only the second time I've seen either of the others. My first MOWA was in exactly the same spot at Indigenous a few years ago.
Total numbers were pretty low, but the quality was certainly there!

Other migrants in the Lower Keys were:
Solitary Sandpiper (the only bird at the Marathon Airport)
Empidonax sp. (Indigenous)
Eastern Kingbird (huge flocks)
Red-eyed Vireo
Black-whiskered Vireo
Barn Swallow
N. Parula
Yellow Warbler
Yellow-throated Warbler
Prairie Warbler
Am Redstart
Ovenbird
N. Waterthrush
Common Yellowthroat
Hooded Warbler (12 total warbler sp)
Indigo Bunting
