the little ani family was out today, in the usual spot. kind of sad, isn't it? three little birds. anis have never been common in my lifetime, but watching this little airport group shrink over the past five years is a real loss. i haven't seen one anywhere else in more than a decade. one cat, one cooper's hawk, one peregrine, and this group could be gone. are these the last ones in the u.s.?
