Hello Ruben,
We posted the location where we found the Smooth-billed Ani marked with a red X standing on top of the metal structures next to the 800 building which is marked with a thumbtack. Look for the papaya trees and bushes to the right of the metal structures.
Please be aware of your surroundings because the area is not the best of neighborhoods. We were actually able to pull up in our car next to the metal structure and watch the Ani family for a few minutes around 4pm that day. So we did not even get out of our car when we birded there.
It was a pleasure meeting a bird board member at AD Barnes today.
Actually right after we met you we walked towards the area where the fountain is and saw the 2 immature Hawks hunting a squirrel.
