By the scores, by the hundreds, by the legions, the warblers, cedar waxwings, and literally clouds of robins pass over daily. With no need of calendar, no need of seasonal chart, we can see, we can rejoice that the Spring migration is full on and progressing at nature's pace. And here among the bobcats, coots, nest building Great Blue Herons, blue winged teal and all the other attention grabbers at Wakodahatchee, one lonely but very pretty little common yellowthroat sticks its head out from under cover of the pond apple leaves and stops to preen. Just 10 seconds. Seven seconds longer than needed for the attentive photogrpaher intent upon the beauty of moment. Fly away my little friend, wend you way back to the still cold north. Fare thee well. And hopefully soon, the wind will be at your back and somewhere north of me, a place you call home, your mate will attend your call and the two of you will imbue your offspring with knowledge of this fair land that has fed you so well this winter.
