Folks, I've been forwarded an email from Skip Snow. The Sacred Ibis, an african wader some of us have had the pleasure of spotting in our very own wetlands, seems to be increasing in population. It has established itself in some parts of Europe and has a high probability of successful establishment in south Florida. Being a generalist, there is a risk of it being a likely predator on eggs and chicks of native species. If any of you spots one of these guys, please note the location, number of individuals, time, and date. Pictures are greatly appreciated as well. Contact Skip Snow at (305) 815-2080 or (305) 242-7827 and/or email skip_snow@nps.gov. Just passing the word along.

Cheers and bird on,
RJ
