Krome RR Tracks today. Lots of myrtle warblers, shrikes and singing meadowlarks. A couple of unidentified sparrows in the grass along the canals. Gave single, short and sharp "bzzt". They wouldnt let me get near them. I saw my first white-tailed Kite hovering over the fields across the canal behind the high school.

Plus, last Monday in Flamingo, my probable scissor tail is becoming more probable to me. It was shy and silent, when seeing me always flying into the next tree. It was in the parkinglot farthest away from Eco Pond heading Northeast from the pond, near the harbor and the boat ramp. I think it had 1/3 of its tail missing. I compared it with the western kingbird, which was fatter and tamer. The reason I think it wasnt a Scissor tail was because I didnt get a great description as I saw it for 1 second, and it had a yellow belly about half way down the chest. Is this a scissor tail?
