I'm afraid to say that this otter did not make it.
Friday mid-morning we saw an alligator eating a dead otter. The otter was floating out in the deep area and two alligators were fighting for it. It was proving to be a difficult size to drag to shore. The other two otters were spotted running across the boardwalk in front of the nature center.
In other news, the BBWD familes seem to be doing well. There are a few more pairs scattered about the park but I haven't seen any young with them yet.
