CREW's several intersecting trails, pinelands, and grassy marshes produced 19 butterfly species: Zebra Swallowtail (1), Black Swallowtail (1), Giant Swallowtail, Palamedes Swallowtail (numerous), Great Southern White, Little Yellow, Barred Yellow, Cloudless Sulphur (numerous), Gray Hairstreak (numerous), Mallow Scrub-Hairstreak, Gulf Fritillary, Zebra Heliconian, Phaon Crescent, Pearl Crescent, Common Buckeye, Peacock (numerous), Queen, Horace's Duskywing, and one as-yet unidentified grass skipper photographed by John Boyd. Bella Moth, Faithful Beauty, and abundant very small and micro-moths were noted. Members of NABA-Broward and Miami Blue Chapters gave high marks to CREW -- definite return trips in other seasons are indicated!
