Too bad i just found this site and read this posting a week and a half too late. *sigh*

Well if you go back,,,, the best place to see the Scrub Jays is actually north of the main entrance. Go to the District 5 headquarter's road and turn in there. You cant miss it,,, there's a huge loran radio tower there. You can't go into the loran field but you really don't need to. All you have to do is stand in the parkinglot of the headquarter's building and look out into the low cut scrub field surrounding the tower.

Osprey's, hawks, and owls, are common in the park. And also durring mating season you can see th regular Bald Eagles that have nested in the same spot for about 8 or 9 years.

There are lots more (bluejays, cardinals, grackles, etc.) go sit, watch, and listen and you should have a nice time:-)

oh yeah! Don't forget to check out the bats near the northern restrooms north of the canoe rental area.

: : Sunday the 9th, me and my mom are going to visit Jonathan Dickinson for a birding trip. On the way there we're gonna stop at Wokodahatchee Wetlands to look for Green Winged Teal. What good birds are there at Jonathan Dickinson this time of year? Thanks.
