No Photo, but a good look and I took mental notes of a "Pep" type shorebird. It had white throat, breast and belly. Small fairly slim black bill, Black Legs (legs were clean, no mud) and a rusty brown plumage everywhere else. The bird was preening so I didn't really didn't notice much detail in the feathers. From the angle I was looking the bill appeared fairly short and straight, most like a Least Sandpiper. I do remember seeing a white supercilium and the face was similar in color to the rusty brown plumage. The color was more on the Rusty, reddish color than brown.

The bird was by it's self about 100 feet away. I continued scanning for other birds thinking I may get to look at this one again when it wasn't preening. But it was gone.

Toe was there but didn't get to see the bird. He and I were scanning different parts of Cutler Wetland at the time. We tried to relocate the bird for about an hour without any luck.

I'm going to look again in the morning, but wanted to post my description for input on possibilities.

We saw:

300 Dowitcher Sp.
20 Stilt Sandpipers
150 Semipalmated Sandpipers
30 Semipalmated Plovers
75 Least Sandpipers
50 Western Sandpipers
30 Lesser Yellow Legs
70 Pectoral Sandpipers
3 Blue Wing Teal - recent visitors
Lots of Ibis and waders as well...
