Miami Shores Birds

Two nights ago I heard a singing Eastern Screech Owl not too far away from a friends house in Miami Shores. Two others have been hanging around my house the past few nights. Last night I also heard at least one Solitary Sandpiper calling overhead from the Miami Shores Golf Course. Today I saw eleven Chestnut-fronted Macaws and a female Cooper's Hawk.

Tomorrow I leave for the University of West Florida in Pensacola. It has been a pleasure being a "TASer" since January of 2003, when I was fourteen years old. I will lurk on the board frequently and perhaps post or reply, though I am about as far from Miami as you can get without leaving the state. Thanks to all that have shared their knowledge with me, found me lifers, picked me up to go birding, and encouraged me to pursue a field related to birds. I will be majoring in General Biology (so I can focus on birds and reptile field work in the future) and minoring in Geography.

Thanks especially to Paul Bithorn, Nancy, Brian, John, Toe, Trey, Robin, Raul, Larry, the late Juan Vilamil and Jill, and everyone else. If I forgot anyone I'm sorry (it's 3:35 in the morning, and I am tired!). Sorry to make this sort of off topic.
