Along the Western walkway just prior to the cypress head land area there were two separate sets of blackbellied ducks with ducklings, They were all quite amiable. The ducks are about 10 days old at most. The parents are vigilant and chased away boat-tailed grackles, mottled ducks, several twi-colors, and some coots and moorhens.

For viewers this is an easy setup. For photographers pre-noon to noon would be best time as the two families tended to stay west of the boardwalk.

A heavy rainfall came across Green Cay and chased us away after an hour on the shoot.
