Cool photo, my wife and I live in miami lakes and bird the area when ever we do not have time to drive out to a spot. We have seen lots of different species of birds just in this little area. Did you take this photo at the lake in front of publix? I recently saw the swan leading her little ones into the lake. Keep your eyes and ears peeled for kingbirds in the area, seen some recently. The lake behind the car dealerships usually holds an Osprey as well as a kingfisher. Make sure you check the field directly in front of the landing pad of Opa- Locka Airport for burrowing owls, we almost always find them around sundown. The field is on the east side of 57 ave., easily accessible by driving behind the new business condos(Vellagio). The owls are awesome.
